Philippians 2:5-11

This Bible passage of Philippians 2:5-11is what I believe to be a proof of God’s divine work in the Apostle Paul during the three days of his blindness at his conversion/salvation in Christ Jesus (Acts 9:1-22). Paul gives his reasoning here for his desires for the Christians at Philippi to have the same mind as that of Christ Jesus. He explains that Jesus is God in human form (Philippians 2:5-8). Because Jesus is a human being while also being the divine being of God, there is a greater exaltation that that of other men as Jesus has come to give Himself for the salvation of man. In so, every man should be thankful and obedient to the gift that God has given for humanity in Christ Jesus. One day everyone will realize and understand the implementations of our need for Jesus as every knee will bow to Him; some in obedience, and some in regret for not realizing this truth for salvation in Christ Jesus, the Savior of the world (Philippians 2:9-11).

This is an example of Jesus being God in human form.

This is a command to be obedient to Jesus and redirect our mindset to that of His.

This is a promise that one day everyone will bow to Jesus and recognize Him as the Savior of the world.

The Bible teaches in John 1:1-5 (NKJV), “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” And in John 1:14 we learn, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 3:16-17 teaches, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Paul’s heart was divinely touched at his conversion/salvation in and through Jesus Christ. This experience changed the evil ways of Paul and made him a “chosen vessel” of God (Acts 9:15-16). The experience of conversion/salvation in Christ Jesus will divinely touch your life to if you will put your faith in Him today.

Dear LORD,

The conversion and calling of the Apostle Paul is a very convincing conversion unto salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. To recognize that Jesus is You in human form coming to save the world from sin is a vital part of Your divine work in our lives. Please let us all see the great work and calling that You have for each of us – In Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
