Colossians 1:10
This is the second part of the compound verse consisting of Colossians 1:9–12. Each of these verses is a continuing reason for why we should not cease to pray for one another, and in this case, why Paul does not cease to pray for the Church at Colosse. I cannot find additional words to explain this text except to repeat it…”that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;”. What a wonderful prayer and blessing.
This is an example of how we should conduct our lives as Christians.
This is a promise of the results of walking worthy of the Lord.
This is a command to “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10, NKJV).
Let’s make it a priority to pray for all of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world, that Christ would fill us with His Holy Spirit and give us the courage and strength to “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10).
Dear LORD,
My prayer today is for this verse to be the desire of our hearts—that we would all walk worthy in reflection of Your influence in our lives; that we would be fruitful in every good work and increase in our knowledge of You, LORD. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
