Romans 8:37-39
In the midst of this sinful world and the accusations that Satan will throw at us in the battle of our eternal destination, the Apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 8:37 (NKJV), “…we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” There is nothing that, “shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39b).
This is a promise of the security of our bond with God through our Savior Jesus.
In our physical, earthly, humanistic, sinful lives we fear and doubt. But in Christ Jesus we are set free from these things with our focus on our Savior who paid our price due to sin, which is death. But our Savior is more powerful than death as His purity broke the bonds of sin, death, and Satan. In His life that He now lives to God, we too, in Him should live our lives to God in celebration of the life-giving salvation that we have in Him (Romans 6:7-11). “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).
Dear LORD,
Satan tries to defeat us every day as he tries to pull us away from You and our salvation in Christ Jesus whom You sent to save the world from sin (John 3:16-17). Please encourage and strengthen us with this Bible lesson today and every day that we are more than conquerors – in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Thank You so much LORD for saving us from eternal condemnation and giving us eternal life in our Savior Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
