Romans 8:33

Revelation 12:10 (NKJV) proclaims, “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.”  Satan is always telling God of how bad we are, and in deserving of death he pleads his case against us.  But God sent Jesus to die for us in paying our penalty for the sins of our lives, and in so doing, defeated sin, death, and Satan once for all (Romans 6:10).

This is a promise of justification in Christ Jesus for all who believe in Him.

By putting our faith in Jesus we are saying to Him, “I trust in You that You have taken care of my sins forevermore.  I promise to seek Your ways for my life from this day forward as I study Your word each day and put into practice the lessons that You teach me through it.  I want to grow in my relationship with You through my salvation in Christ Jesus and experience the fulfilling life that You have for me – in Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior.  In Christ we are justified from the accusations of Satan, and we no longer need to live in fear of the consequences of what are now – in Christ – false accusations which are thrown at us by the father of lies as Jesus tells the unbelievers in John 8:44.

Dear LORD,

The closer we get to You in our relationship with You through our Savior Jesus, the more Satan will accuse us of sin in His attempt to pull us away from You.  But we know that You have defeated sin, death, and Satan once for all and the life we now live in Christ we live to You (Romans 6:10-14).  Please help us to put and keep our faith and focus on Jesus always as we seek Your will for our lives – in Christ.  In Jesus name I pray, amen.
