Romans 5:1
“Therefore”, says Paul, because Jesus was given to pay for our sins, and because He was raised from the dead for our justification (Romans 4:25), “having been justified by faith” (Romans 5:1, NKJV), “we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,”. What was once disrupted and broken by sin is now made at peace through the work that Jesus has done for us on the cross and in being risen from the grave. He is the Victor; He is the One who fulfilled the requirements of the Law; He is the Overcomer; He is our Lord and Savior! He is Jesus! Through our faith in Him we have peace with God. Jesus gives us peace with God! Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
This is the promise of salvation in Christ Jesus for all who have been justified by faith in Him.
This is the pure gospel given by the Apostle Paul to encourage and inspire us to come to Jesus and find peace for our lives. Peace. Peace that calms the soul. Peace that makes one right with God through faith in Christ Jesus who died for us, and rose from the grave for us to have life eternal and peace with God once again. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Praise the Lord!
Dear LORD,
Thank You LORD for the peace that You have provided for us who will have faith in You through Your Son, our Savior, Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
