Revelation 7:13-17

Jesus said to the woman at the well in John 4:13-14 (NKJV), “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” In Revelation 7:13-17 we learn that those who are saved through the great tribulation will be blessed with being before the throne of God worshiping Him day and night, to never hunger nor thirst as Revelation 7:16-17 declare, “16They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

This is a promise of the position in heaven for those who are saved through the great tribulation.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:6,

“Blessed are those who hunger and

thirst for righteousness,

For they shall be filled.”

And He continues in Matthew 5:11-12, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” The Bible teaches us that there will be rewards for those who are persecuted for Christ Jesus’ sake, but the one’s spoken of in Revelation 7:13-17 are those who are persecuted during the great tribulation and yet are saved through it by the grace of God.

Dear LORD,

We all feel persecution in some way, shape, or form for our belief in You and for following Your will for our lives. Please let this not be a hindrance to us but that we would be aware of the rewards You will give us in heaven for staying true in our faith to You through our salvation in Your One and only Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
