Revelation 5:14

The Lamb of God has taken “the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne” (Revelation 5:7, NKJV) and then a great celebration broke out in all of creation – in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and in the sea (Revelation 5:13) singing and giving praise to the Lamb and to Him who sits on the throne (Revelation 5). As the Lamb prepares to open the first seal on the scroll we learn in Revelation 5:14, “14Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.”

This is a command to action as the “Amen” has been given unto completion for the Lamb who is found worthy to open the scroll and release its seven seals (Revelation 5:5).

“Amen” is a declaration of the completion of our prayers being given to our Almighty Creator God in heaven, and of the call to action that we now await to see if our prayers be in the will of the One who has ultimate judgment and completion of all things. We are not commanding God but that we have in sincerity and humility given our cares to God – completely. We have done all that is in our power and now is the time for God’s final say in all things as we continue to strive to follow His will for our lives. It is the “Amen” that God desires to hear from each of us, each day.

Dear LORD,

You have the final Word; You have the final action unto completion. Please hear our prayers each day as we humbly submit our cares to You – in Christ!. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
