Revelation 5:13

In Revelation 5:13 (NKJV) the Apostle John witnesses, “every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

‘Blessing and honor and glory and power

Be to Him who sits on the throne,

And to the Lamb, forever and ever!’”

The Apostle Paul teaches us in Philippians 2:5-11of the reason for this event that was witnessed by the Apostle John, ““Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

This is a promise that “God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

In the world today, people are seeking a way of life that is meaningful to them and their own personal wants and desires. The Bible teaches us that before we can find that lifestyle we must give up our own desires and follow Jesus. It is then that we will begin to understand that one day we will all fall down and worship Him, whether it be in heaven, on earth, or under the earth; some will worship in glory and forgiveness; others will worship in regret and sorrow. Jesus states in Matthew 16:24-25, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”  Losing our life for Jesus sake is to give up on our own desires and our own will, and seek and follow His will for our lives by declaring Him our Lord and Savior, and by believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead in victory over sin, death, and Satan (Romans 10:9-10). Put your trust in Jesus today and ask Him to forgive your sins – He has never turned away a sincere heart that is ready to turn from a life of sin and begin living a new life – in Christ. He will receive you too, with open arms in His love for you.

Dear LORD,

Your love for us fills us with joy unexplainable as we put our faith in Jesus and believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead in victory for us – that we may live through Him. Please help us to believe in Jesus, and fill us with Your true love as we put aside the ways of ourselves and put on a new life – in Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
