Revelation 4:9-11

In Revelation 4:9-11 we find the combination of worship by the four living creatures who give “glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever” (Revelation 4:9, NKJV), and the twenty-four elders who, “fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

11          ‘You ae worthy, O Lord,

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist and were

Created.’”

In this worship is given glory, honor, and thanks for God in His deity and eternal majesty, along with glory, honor, and power to God for being the Creator of all things.

This is a promise that God is worthy in His deity and in His being Almighty Creator of all things.

Today there is a false sense of security in creating God to be whoever we want Him to be as per our own desires and wishes, but God – the God of heaven who is worthy of our glory, honor, thanksgiving in His power and deity, is unchangeable; He is the, “Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” His is the One, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8). We do not have the right to attempt to change Him to fit our desires; it is our responsibility to come to a realization and understanding that we are, in submission to God’s greatness in His deity and power, to make the changes in our lives accordingly to live as He leads us, as it is He who leads – not us. The Almighty God of heaven is a forgiving God and is waiting, as Jesus died with His arms wide open, to receive all who will come to Him and ask of His forgiveness. If you come to Him with a sincere heart seeking forgiveness, He will forgive you too, and give you a new life – in Christ!

Dear LORD,

The Bible teaches us in Ephesians 1:7-10, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth – in Him.” Please let be so LORD in all our lives – in Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
