Revelation 22:7
In Revelation 22:7 (NKJV) Jesus proclaims, “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” The proclamation of Jesus declaring that He is coming quickly could resonate with the fact that a human being only lives for a short time, and then will stand before Him to review the life that has been lived. The question is simply that of the individual putting his or her faith in Jesus seeking His will for their life and of striving to follow that in living a life that reflects Jesus. There will be no excuses to proclaim why one did not choose salvation in Christ Jesus, but that the reality of it will be made known to all. The Bible teaches us in Philippians 2:5-11, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
This is a promise of blessing for all who open their hearts to Jesus and follow Him.
Professing Jesus one’s savior is the beginning of a new life in Christ Jesus that will reign with Him for eternity; it is the remainder of our earthly, physical lives that we are to walk in His footsteps as we reflect Him through our lives to all those around us, and in today’s age of technology, throughout the world.
Dear LORD,
We all will profess King Jesus one day when we stand before Him. The question is, “Will we profess Him King Jesus of our lives while we are here on earth in our physical bodies and have the opportunity to share Your love to us with others so that they too may join in eternal life – in Christ Jesus.” In Jesus name I pray amen.
