Revelation 19:6-8
In Revelation 19:6 the Apostle John hears a voice as of a great multitude sounding like many waters and mighty thunderings declaring, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 7Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” The bride of the Lamb will be arrayed in the fine linen that the harlot was refused because the bride of the Lamb will be arrayed in the righteousness of Christ Jesus and be worthy of such beauty as the fine linen is representative of the righteous acts of the saints (Revelation 19:8).
This is the announcement for the marriage of the Lamb.
The Church is now being prepared as the bride of the Lamb, which is Christ Jesus. With the destruction of the sinful nature, the righteousness of God can be arrayed in its beauty and prepare the bride of the Lamb to unite for eternity. The Omnipotent/All Powerful God of heaven is declared in celebration of defeating the sinful nature once for all. The Apostle Paul declares in Romans 5:20b-21, “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Sin has been defeated once for all by the Omnipotent God of heaven; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Dear LORD,
Sin has been defeated and it is time to rejoice in the Lord. You have prepared in Your Omnipotence the purity in the righteousness of Christ Jesus and adorned Your Church as the bride of the Lamb through the righteous acts of the saints. Thank You LORD for defeating sin and preparing eternity for all who will believe in You. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
