Revelation 19:1-5
After the destruction of the sinful nature/woman on the beast/Babylon, John hears “a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven” (Revelation 19:1, NKJV) giving praise to God for salvation, glory, honor, and power for judging the harlot who corrupted the earth and shed the blood of His servants (Revelation 19:3). In Revelation 19:4 the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures (Revelation 4) join in giving praise to God. Revelation 19:5 declares, “5Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”
This is an example of the rejoicing in heaven that will take place when God destroys the sinful nature of this world.
In the constraints of time we long for such a day to praise God, but in heaven, where there is no time constraints, there is constant rejoicing and praising God. The old hymn declares, “When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. When we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.”
Dear LORD,
We long for the day of continual praise in Your presence when we will all have the most beautiful voices to sing to You and praise You for saving us from the sinful nature. Until that day comes for each of us, let us praise You in our days You have given us to set the example of Jesus working in our lives through Your Holy Spirit to all those we come in contact with and around the world. Please let it be so LORD. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
