Revelation 14:9-11

The beasts that Satan has created in Revelation 13 have proclaimed their place on the earth, requiring the mark of the beast for anyone to conduct business transactions. But then in Revelation 14:1-5 is the Lamb standing atop Mount Zion with His heavenly choir. Then an angel (Revelation 14:6-7) proclaims the everlasting gospel to all nations, tribes, tongues, and peoples with a call to repentance. Then the fall of Babylon is announced, declaring the destruction of Satan and his beasts. In Revelation 14:9-11 is given a warning for all who choose to follow the ways of the beast accepting his mark and worshiping him. This warning is declared in Revelation 14:10-11 (NKJV) stating, “10he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

This is a warning for all who take the number of the beast and follow him, which will lead to destruction.

These events are so similar to the story of the Bible as God created man, then Satan proclaimed that man should follow him instead of God; sin was born and the need for redemption then becomes the theme of the Bible. God sent humanity a Redeemer standing atop Mount Zion who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). For all who follow God and accept His Redeemer Jesus Christ is life abundant for eternity, but for all who follow the ways of the devil and tag their lives with the mark of the beast is eternal destruction in the full wrath of God. The choice is yours to make; there is no middle ground, just choosing Jesus or continuing to follow in the ways of this world which is marked by Satan and his beast. Choose Jesus today and live – escape the eternal wrath of God and accept His forgiveness for your sins – He is faithful and died with His arms open wide to embrace everyone who will come to Him with an open and sincere heart seeking forgiveness. Jesus loves you and gave His life for you, yes…you.

Dear LORD,

In John 3:16-17 is the greatest example of love that has ever been shown. You gave Your One and only Son Jesus to die, paying for the sins of the world so that we all may be saved from the trickery of the devil and be redeemed back to You – in love the key to forgiveness and everlasting life. Touch our hearts LORD with Your Holy Spirit and lead us to salvation in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
