Revelation 14:12

The beasts of the devil have declared that everyone follow and worship them (Revelation 13); an angel has declared the everlasting gospel to all peoples on the earth (Revelation 14:6-7), and another angel has declared the destruction of the devil (Babylon) and his ways and for all who follow/worship him (Revelation 14:8-11). But now, in Revelation 14:12 (NKJV) is a blessing declaring, “12Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” This will be a time of trial and tribulation for all those who keep their faith in our Creator God. The beasts will proclaim their power over God and punish all those who do not follow them, but for all who remain faithful to God will receive the everlasting reward of eternal life.

This is a promise of reward for all who persevere through the trials and tribulations that the devil attacks the world with.

Jesus declared in John 15:18-20, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.” Jesus did not promise us that He would prevent us from being persecuted but that He would help us through the persecution successfully if we will keep our focus on Him. He was persecuted in this world…and we will be persecuted as well. So you may ask, “What’s the point if we are all going to be persecuted?” Everyone, everywhere is persecuted in some way, shape, or form in this world; don’t you think it would be a good idea to have someone there to help you through it? Jesus knows all our troubles and He wants to help us through them…if you will open your heart to Him and ask His help. Jesus has never turned away a sincere plea for help, and He will not turn you away either. Put your trust in Jesus today and you will find a new friend that will help you through all the troubles that this life can throw at you.

Dear LORD,

To be faithful through it all is our prayer today and every day. Please help us to always remember that we have a friend in Jesus that will help us through every situation that we will ever encounter. Thank You LORD for Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
