Revelation 10:4

In Revelation 10:4 we learn that the Apostle John was not permitted to write everything he heard. The words spoken by the seven thunders were ordered to be sealed up. This is a result from the mighty angel crying out in a loud voice in some way similar to the roar of a lion which prompted the seven thunders to utter their voices (Revelation 10:3). It may be possible that the seven thunders voices were an echoing of what was said by the mighty angel. John simply wants us to know that there was additional happenings that are beyond our knowledge and understanding.

This is an example that some of the things of heaven are beyond our knowledge and understanding.

The Apostle John wrote, as inspired by God’s Holy Spirit, in John 20:30-31(NKJV), “And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” God reveals things to each of us as we put our faith in the One He sent to save us from our sinful nature that is of this world. He longs for us to develop a desire to learn from Him of the things that He has in store for each of us in our own individual callings for His will for our lives. We all do not have the same callings as God leads us through our lives, but the things He teaches us is enough for us to believe in Jesus and to put Him first in our lives.

Dear LORD,

You spoke through the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 55:6-9,

“Seek the LORD while He may be found,

Call upon Him while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake his way,

And the unrighteous man his thoughts;

Let him return to the LORD,

And He will have mercy on him;

And to our God,

For He will abundantly pardon.

‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways,’ says the

LORD.

“For as the heavens are higher than the

earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.’”

In the words of the father crying out for You to heal his child in Mark 9:24, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” In Jesus name I pray, amen.
