Mark 8:4-10

In Mark 8:4-10 as Jesus feeds the four thousand with seven loaves and a few small fish, it becomes obvious that His disciples had not yet grasped the miraculous powers of Jesus as they continue to question Jesus in Mark 8:4 (NKJV) of, “How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?” But Jesus, calmly and patiently, fulfills the needs of the multitude once again in a way that only His disciples would have the front row seat to witness this miracle.

This is an example that Jesus will continue to show us of His great power and love for us in His desire for us to put our faith in Him.

The disciples of Jesus were physical witnesses to His great power exhibited in the miracles He performed and yet were slow to grasp the magnitude of the person and deity of Jesus that lived and walked with them each day. I believe that there are many situations in all our lives that Jesus is utilizing to show us of His great love for us as we are hard of hearing and understanding to realize it. I believe that there are many situations each day in our lives that Jesus utilizes to show us that He is watching over us and leading us. I also believe that we overlook most of these situations as we hustle through our busy daily schedule. It may be little things that Jesus is speaking to us and showing us of His presence in our lives such as running a little late but every stop light was green along your daily path to work, or of any situation that worked out just the way you needed it to, not to say that every situation works our this way but that in some of them Jesus is reaching out to us in His guidance for us in our walk with Him. I encourage you to look for these types of situations each day and the smile on your face and the warmth in your heart will grow as you thank Jesus for watching over you.

Dear LORD,

You are all around us in our daily walk of life. You are continually helping us to see You as we blindly hustle through our busy day. Please prompt our hearts from this day forward to take note of Your guidance in our lives; even of the little things that make our day brighter – in Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
