Mark 7:24

In Mark 7:24 Jesus traveled to the region of Tyre and Sidon and sought to be alone in a house. But in this attempt the Bible teaches us that even in a foreign land Jesus could not go without being noticed as is stated in Mark 7:24c (NKJV), “but He could not be hidden.”

This is a promise that Jesus will be known throughout all the lands and nations.

In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus gave a command to all his disciples declaring, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This is recorded in each of the Gospel accounts along with the book of Acts, but what I want you to notice here is that the knowledge of Jesus, even in the lack of understanding that is still present today, was already known throughout the Gentile lands as well as in Israel.  Jesus cannot be hidden, and He is ready for you to notice that He died for your sins and is ready to forgive you and welcome you back into the family of God.  The Bible teaches us in John 1:10-13, “He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Dear LORD,

As we share Jesus with the world, please help us all to realize and understand that Jesus is already known worldwide and that it is our belief in Him that we need to make known – that we all would put our faith in Jesus – the Savior of the world.  In Jesus name I pray, amen.
