Mark 3:7-12
The word of Jesus’ healing power has spread throughout the land to the point that people from afar are coming to see Him for healing. The Bible teaches us in Mark 3:10 (NKJV), “For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions pressed about Him to touch Him.” And we learn in Mark 3:11-12, “And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, “You are the Son of God.” But He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known.” The popularity of Jesus has grown so much that He has instructed His disciples to have a small boat ready for Him to retreat to if the intensity of the crowd should become too much (Mark 3:9).
This is an example of the massive amount of needed healing in the world.
To be present during this time must have been an extraordinary event to experience. The power of Jesus healing freely all those who came to Him. Jesus did this to show His power to heal. But His true everlasting healing is a healing of our hearts as Jesus has declared in Mark 2:17, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” We are all in need of repentance; we are all in need of a Savior; Jesus is that Savior who came to set us free from the chains that so tightly bind us away from Him. It is through faith in Him that the chains are broken and true freedom is released into our lives. Put your trust – your faith in Jesus today and be set free from the bondage of this world, and live – in Christ!
Dear LORD,
We all need Your healing in some way, shape, or form. Please help us to see that the biggest healing that we all need is for our hearts to be cleansed from the sins of this world to prepare us for eternity in heaven with You through the healing power of Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
