Mark 16:12-13
Jesus has risen! And He has shown Himself to Mary Magdalene (Mark 16:9). In Mark 16:12-13 the Bible teaches us that Jesus then was seen by two others, and they told it to the rest of them, but they still did not believe.
This is an example of how easy it is to be distracted from the miraculous gifts of Jesus.
In the hustle and bustle of this world the devil strives to keep us distracted from God and spending any time with Him. Our prayer life is shortened; our personal daily devotional time is shortened; and our time to give of our God-given gifts is shortened. We all are busy, but we must reach out to God for that which was lost, as He does for us (Matthew 18:11).
Dear LORD,
You reached out to us through Your One and only Son Jesus to save us from sin. Your arms are stretched out to us to welcome us back to the family as Children of God; please help us to not be so busy that we do not see You reaching out to us – in Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
