Luke 5:1-3
Jesus had drawn so many people (the multitude) to Him during His earthly ministry that He had to get into a boat and go out a little way from the shore to create more space so He could teach the crowd. It is as if the multitude is in a frenzy of excitement to hear Jesus speak; to learn from His teaching; to be healed by His words and His touch in their lives.
This is true revival in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Wouldn’t it be nice if our Churches today were bursting with “multitudes” of people trying to get in to hear the words of Jesus preached from the pulpit. This is the true revival that we are in need of today. God works in mysterious ways and He calls us all to share our faith in Him with those around us. Jesus told His disciples in Mark 16:15 (NKJV), “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Dear Lord,
We are in need of revival in the world today. Please help us all to share the love You have put in our hearts with someone today and each day of our lives. Your love is true, and You are deserving of our praise, that we would be to the praise of Your glory, as the Apostle Paul teaches in Ephesians 1:11-14. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
