Ephesians 1:7-8

The blood of Jesus shed on the cross is the redeeming factor that fulfills the sacrificial system of the Law, that none other than Jesus could fulfill. Jesus declared in Matthew 26:28 (NKJV), “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Through His perfect sacrifice—not just a sacrifice that had been done for many years with bulls, lambs, doves, etc., but the perfect sacrifice of the sinless one—Jesus the Messiah, was accomplished for the forgiveness of all sin.

This is the promise of salvation through faith in Christ given by God’s grace.

The Apostle Paul states in Romans 5:9, “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” This means that all the sins you and I and everyone else have committed or ever will commit. Jesus paid the price on the cross for all our sins because of God’s abounding grace toward us. He loves us that much! We cannot fathom that kind of love for what we may call strangers, but God knows us all and made a way for us to come back to Him through Christ. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

Dear Lord,

Thank You for salvation in Christ by Your grace given freely to everyone who will believe. I pray that You will continue to teach us through Your Holy Spirit and study of Your word, the things that You can relay to others through us so that we may lead lost souls to Christ as we strive to be to the praise of Your glory as the Apostle Paul declares in Ephesians 1:3–14. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
