Ephesians 1:13-14
In Ephesians 1:11-12, the Apostle Paul is speaking of those who have previously put their trust in Christ. In Ephesians 1:13-14 Paul is saying that “you too” having believed, are guaranteed this inheritance that is sealed by God’s Holy Spirit until He returns to gather those in heaven and on earth in Christ; which is all to be to the praise of His glory.
This is the promise of salvation in Christ to all who believe in Him.
The Bible teaches us in John 1:12–13 (NKJV), “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Jesus further explains this to Nicodemus in John 3:5–6 as He states, “Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Let us all strive to learn and grow in our relationship with Christ Jesus so that we may be fruitful in sharing the gospel so that others too may learn and grow in Christ.
Dear Lord,
As I read and study Your word, I see increasingly how it leads us to a more personal relationship with You. All Your teachings are to be implemented into our daily lives so that we would learn to strive to live lives pleasing to You. Thank You for giving us an inheritance in Christ Jesus and for helping us to be to the praise of Your glory. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
