Colossians 3:1-4
The Apostle Paul declared in Philippians 3:20–21 (NKJV), “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” Paul is teaching the Colossians that being saved by Christ, they are now in Christ and will appear with Him in glory (Colossians 3:4).
This is a command to focus on heaven and not on earthly things.
This is a promise of appearing with Christ in glory.
If we have been saved in Christ, we should be focusing on the things of Him and not the things of the world/sinful nature. As Christians, our life is now in Christ, and we will appear with Him in glory when He returns.
Dear Lord,
It is tough for a Christian to endure the life of trials and tribulations that we face each day. I pray that You will help us to be strong and persevere that we may grow in our relationship with You and be aware that we are hidden in Christ and will appear with Him in glory. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
