Ephesians 3:10-12

“to the intent” teaches us to reference what we have been reading up to this point.  It also points us to what extent we are referring; not just to the Church, but that even the angels would take notice (Ephesians 3:10). We are reminded in Ephesians 3:10–12 that the knowledge of the wisdom of God is not for our self-centered purpose, but for His eternal purpose in Christ Jesus. That is where we find our boldness and confidence—in Christ Jesus our Lord.

“to the intent” signifies that we are doing something; doing something signifies a command that we would do our part in the Church to make known the manifold wisdom of God.

This has been an eye-opening passage for me in that God is so happy about the “mystery”, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory; that He wants not only us on earth to celebrate, but that all of heaven will join in this celebration of Christ, our Savior (Ephesians 3:10–12).

Dear Lord,

Thank You that we can come to You with boldness and confidence through our faith in Christ Jesus. Prompt us to ask of Your great grace and mercy that You give to us eternally. Sometimes Lord, we get complacent thanking that You are just going to make everything work out for us and we forget that You want us all to seek your will for us by asking. Forgive us Lord for our expectations of You and continue to teach us to seek you each day. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
