Ephesians 3:9

The Apostle Paul does a good job of explaining this passage in his letter to the Colossians as he states in Colossians 1:27-29 (NKJV), “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.  To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.”

This is a great example of letting Scripture interpret itself in explaining fellowship of the mystery of Christ in you.

Note that Paul is wanting everyone to see what is the “fellowship” of the mystery. That we should have fellowship in Christ in us, being the indwelling of His Holy Spirit at salvation is the greatest single thing each of will do in our lives. It is claiming victory in Christ Jesus over Satan and his evil ways of this world. To think that the mystery of the fellowship in Christ gives us hope in glory is our eternal home for all who believe in Him. In Luke 23:41–43 one of the criminals that was crucified with Jesus confessed his belief in Jesus as Lord and said, “‘And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.’ Then he said to Jesus, ‘Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

“And Jesus said to him, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’” It’s never too late to profess Jesus your Lord and Savior. Do so today and you too will enter into the fellowship of the mystery which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Dear Lord,

I pray that You will reveal to all of us what is the fellowship of the mystery, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory. I pray that we would experience the fellowship of Christ in us with one another as we seek to understand Your word and how You would use each of us to be to the praise of Your glory. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
