Ephesians 2:4-6
The mercy and grace of God are so great that we cannot fathom just how much love is involved from God to us. God called Abraham to sacrifice his only son to show his faith in Him, but through His mercy and grace God saved Isaac from death (Genesis 22:1–19). He created us giving physical life, and by His grace, gave us spiritual life in Christ, whom He sent to pay our penalty for sin, not that we deserved it or did anything to earn His love, mercy, and grace, but because of His great love for us. The love of God for us is expressed in John 3:16–17 (NKJV) as God did not spare His One and only Son, but gave Him to save the world from sin, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
This is an example of how great God is.
This is an example of God’s great love, mercy, and grace that He gives freely to us.
Let each of us thank God each day for allowing us to be a part of experiencing His great love for us. Let us continue to seek ways to share His love with others so that it may lead them to Christ, beginning their life anew with Him.
Dear Lord,
Thank You so much for calling us into Your great love. I pray that You will continue to work in each of us, molding us to be tools for spreading Your word so that others may experience Your love as well. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
