Ephesians 1:22-23
God has made His Son, Jesus, the leader of the church. The church is the body of Jesus, which is “full” of God who created fullness in everything (Ephesians 1:23). Everything the church represents is Jesus, so let us all, in all we are, and in all we do, always strive to ensure that our church represents Jesus.
This is a promise of God that Jesus is the head of the Church.
This is an example of what our church should be – in Christ.
This is a command of what our church is to represent – in Christ.
Let us all review our own thoughts of the church to see if they are in line with being the body of Jesus. Lut us all share this with our Christian brothers and sisters in remembrance of what Jesus has done for us all on the cross in bearing our sins so that we may receive His righteousness unto salvation. The Apostle Paul teaches us in 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV), “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Dear Lord,
Help us to view Your church as what it is…Your body. We are all part of Your body, and we want to represent You well; please help me and all my Christian brothers and sisters to represent You well Lord. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
