Ephesians 1:15-16

In Romans 1:8-9, 1Corinthians 1:4, Philippians 1:3-4, Colossians 1:9, 1Thessaloians 1:2-3, 2Thessaloians 1:3, 1Timothy 2:1, 2Timothy 1:3, and Philemon 1:4 the Apostle Paul makes mention in these verses of giving continual thanks and mentioning one another in prayer.  Paul does this early in each of these letters to be encouraging to the hearers and to gain their attention so that they will be receiving of what is to come in the remainder of the letter.

This is an example of how we should pray for one another.

In 1 Thessalonians 1:1 (NKJV), in his address to the church at Thessalonica, the Apostle Paul states, “To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Have you ever received such a greeting in the name of our Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ? What a wonderful blessing it is to be referred to as “in God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Are you aware that others are praying for you daily? Let us all make a point in our prayers to include our Christian brothers and sisters around the world.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for the gift of prayer, that we may encourage one another in it, and lift each other up to you in our prayers. That You will hear our pleas and thanksgiving and praise to You Lord is a blessing to us all. Please be with all of those in Christ around the world and help us to understand better each day the power of prayer through Christ Jesus our Savior. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
