Colossians 1:15-17
God and Jesus are one in the same along with the Holy Spirit. John 1:1–3 (NKJV) declares, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” John 1:14 declares, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus declares in John 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” Everything that has ever been created is and was and will be created for Him. He is the first, the last, and the everlasting God (Revelation 22:13).
This is a command to be understood that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are One.
This is an example to show the omnipotence of God.
This is a promise of who God is.
Do you acknowledge God each day as the Creator of all things? Do you acknowledge God as the One who created you and gave you life with a purpose in this world for Him? Do you acknowledge God as being everlasting—before all things and will continue to be after all things? He is the “Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last” (Revelation 22:13), and He is our sustainer of life, now and forever.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for calling me and giving me this opportunity to serve You. Open my eyes and my heart Lord to hear Your word and Your teachings in a way that You will allow me to understand and grow in spiritual wisdom and understanding. Use me as a tool for You to spread Your gospel in a way that those who hear will understand and come to know you as their personal Lord and Savior. I pray also for everyone who hears this prayer, that you will use us all to spread your gospel so that others may come to know you and be a part of your kingdom in heaven forever. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
