Colossians 1:13-14
God has freed us from the grasp of Satan. In doing so, He has opened the door for us to have a personal relationship with Him through His Son Jesus, who died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of humanity. Something that I think about a lot on this topic is the physical aspect of what happened along with the spiritual aspect when Jesus died on the cross; the vail that separated man from the presence of God at the temple was torn from top to bottom. No longer is man prevented from being in the presence of God. We are all invited to have a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus. He will forgive our sins, and He wants to…we just need to confess our sins to Him and ask sincerely for His forgiveness.
This is the promise of salvation through Christ.
The Apostle Paul has taught us to pray for one another so that God will fill us all “with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:9–14, NKJV). May it be so in all our lives – In Christ.
Dear LORD,
I ask today that You would lead us all to effectively spread the gospel of Christ; that eyes and hearts would be opened to receive forgiveness through Jesus, and that we would walk worthy of the sacrifice that You paid for us on the cross to save us from the power of darkness and bring us into the kingdom of the Son of Your love. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
