Colossians 1:12
In Colossians 1:3 Paul is giving thanks to God for the faith of the Colossians in Christ and their love for the saints. In Colossians 1:12 Paul is giving thanks to God for making us “qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light” (Colossians 1:12, NKJV). We must remember that even though we may receive praise from our brothers and sisters in Christ, it is He that makes it possible for us to receive this inheritance in His kingdom.
This is an example of “giving thanks to the Father” (Colossians 1:12).
This is a promise from “the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light” (Colossians 1:12).
Do you begin your day by giving thanks to God for giving you this day? Do you thank God each day for saving you from your sins? Do you thank God each day for giving you an inheritance in the light of life and acknowledge that it is God through His grace in sending His Son to pay the price for our sins which makes it all possible? I hope so, because He is worthy of all our praise.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for sending your Son to pay the price for all our sins so that we may receive forgiveness and become qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
