Revelation 21:22

The Apostle John declares in Revelation 21:22 (NKJV), “22But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.” We have already learned that the radiance and purity of God permeates throughout the city of the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21:18. In Revelation 21:22 we learn that there is no temple in the New Jerusalem because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

We also learn an important tie in the everlasting being of God and Jesus; they are One. The Bible teaches us in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And in John 1:14 the Bible teaches us, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” In John 10:30 Jesus declares, “I and My Father are one.” Jesus declares in John 14:9-11, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”

This is a promise of everlasting worship in the presence of God and Jesus in the New Jerusalem.

The presence of God and Jesus as one will flow throughout the New Jerusalem and intertwine with us always. This will most assuredly, in the joy that will fill us continually, bring about a constant atmosphere of praise and worship. All together as one flowing through God and Jesus as He flows through us with pure joy and love.

Dear LORD,

Oh, what a day it will be when our spirit becomes in Your Spirit and we are able to rejoice in Your glory and radiance in the New Jerusalem. We no longer will have a need to go to church because we will live there with You forever. Thank You LORD God Almighty! In Jesus name I pray, amen.
