Revelation 21:18

In Revelation 4:3 (NKJV) the Bible teaches us, “And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” This verse is in relation to He who sat on the throne in heaven (Revelation 4:2). This is important to note as we study Revelation 21:18 because the construction of the walls of the New Jerusalem, along with the city itself, is described as, “18The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.”

The radiance of God in being Spirit (John 4:24) is the construction of the New Jerusalem as the description of the walls of being jasper and the city being of pure gold are then described as being “like clear glass” (Revelation 21:18). The beautiful radiance of God shines in His Spiritual being through all the spectrum of the rainbow which covers all the color spectrum and shines through His New Jerusalem.

This is the radiance of God shining through the New Jerusalem.

The purity of the construction of the New Jerusalem is so pure beyond man’s imagination that it is see-through. The pure radiance of God being the construction of the New Jerusalem is visible while yet being transparent as His presence and radiance flows through the New Jerusalem unhindered and to all, always. As God’s Holy Spirit flows throughout the world to everyone, everywhere, so will His presence flow in His New Jerusalem. The difference from now to then is that in heaven we will all be one within Him.

Dear LORD,

Your New Jerusalem will be so pure that it will be transparent as to hide nothing. Please help us to hide nothing in our lives from You, but that we would be transparent in giving all our sin to You and humbly asking Your forgiveness. You are Omnipotent and know all our most inner thoughts and desires; please help us to realize this and understand that we cannot hide any part of our lives from You as Your view of our lives is transparent. Please help us to realize that You will make our lives so much better by releasing the weight of the guilt of sin if we will simply give it to You. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
