Revelation 12:10-12

In Revelation 12:9 the devil – the one “who deceives the whole world” (NKJV) has been cast out of heaven and to the earth. In Revelation 12:10 is announced the arrival of salvation, strength, the kingdom of God, and the power of His Christ. Revelation 12:11 declares, “11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”  The great accuser has been cast out of heaven and to the earth. This is a great point of rejoicing for heaven (Revelation 12:12) but a great caution to humanity – those inhabitants of the earth and the sea. Revelation 12:12c states, “For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

This is victory in heaven over the devil.

This is caution to the inhabitants of the earth of Satan’s fury against them.

The war in heaven has been won. But the war on earth has just begun. The great accuser will charge us with everything he can to prove us unworthy of God’s blessings as he has been found unworthy of God’s blessings because of his eternal disobedience. The devil wants to prevent us from receiving God’s grace and mercy on/in our lives because he is jealous of us in that God has promised to redeem us from Satan’s grasp if we will simply put our faith in Him and profess Him our Lord and Savior while we are on the earth – the world of the devil. That is defeat for Satan – that the LORD God Almighty be proclaimed our Savior in the world of the devil. It is a proclamation of total victory as to smear it in the face of the devil in his own world because God can do that and be justified for doing so as He is the Justifier and the LORD of all – He deserves it, and only He deserves it.

Dear LORD,

You have declared Your great plan of salvation for humanity in the world – the face of the devil as to ensure that he has no excuses in his defeat, but that You will be exalted above all in Your right place as Almighty God. Thank You for allowing us as Your humble servants to be a part of this great celebration in heaven that we may overcome the wiles of the devil on earth through our salvation in Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
