1 Corinthians 15:39

In 1 Corinthians 15:39 (NKJV) The Apostle Paul describes of how there are differences in body types/flesh.  He states, “39All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.”  In Genesis 1:20-25 God created all the creatures of the water, air, and land, each “according to its kind.”  Each “kind” of creature was created separately by God “according to its kind.”  God made the bodies/flesh types separately and individually to meet the needs of the type of creature He had created.

This is a promise that there are different types of bodies in God’s creation.

As the Apostle Paul begins explaining the different body types of creation, it is important to understand the simple fact that there are different types of bodies as this will help us in the coming verses to better understand how the physical body is changed when it becomes the resurrected body.  This is also helpful to understand the change one goes through when salvation through God’s grace is given to the lost soul changing them from the inside-out.  God spoke through the Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 24:7 declaring, “Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.”

Dear LORD,

As we are studying about our earthly bodies in comparison to our spiritual bodies and that difference to our resurrected bodies, please help us to grasp enough of this mystery to know that through Christ Jesus in the salvation You have provided for us that we will be/are changed people through Your Holy Spirit sealing us and working in us to bring us new life and through that life to bring glory to You, our God and our LORD.  In Jesus name I pray, amen.
