Romans 11:25

The Apostle Paul shows his concern for not just teaching us about salvation in Christ Jesus being for all peoples, Israel and the Gentile nations alike, but he wants us to know why this is important.  He teaches in in Romans 11:25 (NKJV), “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.”  He does not desire that people should develop their own doctrines, which are based on an individual’s doctrine, but that the Bible – the Holy Spirit filled revelation that was given to God’s chosen prophets and apostles, would be understood as to be from God through them to us, even today.

This is an example of the Apostle Paul’s heart-felt and Holy Spirit filled calling through Christ Jesus that we too would come to an understanding of God’s word – in Christ.

Paul is concerned that we would gain a proper understanding of God’s word and how we can and should apply these lessons in our lives that is reflective of Christ Jesus to all those we come in contact with, that He would be glorified through us as we put and keep our faith in Christ Jesus.  We are none better than another, but in Christ Jesus all equal and chosen by Him to be His representatives to others in our world today as we open our hearts to Him and believe that He died for our sins that we may live eternal through Him.

Dear LORD,

We study Your word to gain a better understanding of it and how we can and should apply that teaching in our lives so that we can live in Your will for each of us – in Christ.  There are many mysterious teachings in Your word that we need to clarify so that we can glorify You in our lives.  Please open our eyes, hearts, minds, and souls to Your word – in Christ.  In Jesus name I pray, amen.
