Hebrews 11:29
In Exodus 14 is the story of the crossing of the Red Sea. Moses had led the Israelites out of Egypt, but Pharaoh turned against his decision to let them go. He summoned the army of Egypt and set out in pursuit of them. When Pharaoh caught up with the Israelites, he had them trapped between his great army and the Red Sea. The LORD told Moses in Exodus 14:16 (NKJV), “But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Moses, through faith, followed the command given him by God, and the people of Israel were saved from the Egyptians, who all drowned in the Red Sea as the parted walls of water fell crashing on them to their death.
This is an example of the magnificent power of God to do things in which we could never imagine.
This is an example that God works wonders through our faith in Him.
The crossing of the Red Sea was truly a miraculous Biblical event. To witness God’s power in such a great majestic event would have been life changing for anyone, but God still works His miraculous power each day in each of our lives as He desires to take care of our needs as His children. Sometimes we look over things as if an unexpected event or happening in our lives was just brought upon us by chance, but God is continually giving us signs and wonders to get our attention to see that He is there, waiting for us to acknowledge Him in our lives. I challenge you to look for the signs and wonders that God is showing you throughout the day, and when He reveals Himself to you and the work He is doing in your life, acknowledge Him with a simple “Thank You LORD” and you will not only grow in your faith in Him, but will receive blessings within your heart that are comparable to nothing else you will ever experience.
Dear LORD,
Please open our eyes to the miraculous signs and wonders that You are doing in our lives each day, that we may grow in our faith in You and experience the blessings You have saved for all who will believe in You. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
